Entre Balas y Rugidos
Entre Balas y Rugidos is an online exhibit that explores the various roles of Leonor Villegas de Magnón during the Mexican Revolution, her indispensability to the cause, and her wider significance in history. On both sides of the U.S.-Mexican border, Villegas de Magnón was a prominent political voice and organizer. In 1913, she founded La Cruz Blanca Constitucionalista, a coalition of nurses who attended the injured during the Revolution. She recorded her revolutionary acts and experiences in her autobiography, La Rebelde. This exhibit tells her story through an exposition of photos, correspondence, and other archival material. All materials were donated by her family to the Recovering the US Hispanic Literary Heritage Program.
