Inclusive Vision: Festival Program

The Festival de Mujeres program shows us the inclusive vision of Mujeres Latinas en Acción, those who were affiliated with the young organization, and Chicago’s Mexicana-Chicana and Latina feminisms of the 1970s. Its organizers reached across Latina ethnicities, races, generations, and neighborhoods. Although not directly addressed the Festival was an early moment of lesbian and non-heterosexual inclusion in a Latina public event in the city because of Diana Solís' interventions.
