Description

This costumbrista sketch portrays two characters: “Halfpint” (a nickname which alludes to the character’s alcoholic tendencies, always “finishing off” a pint) and a somewhat corrupt police officer, “Tinface” (an epithet used to suggest the character’s cold and heartless qualities, like those often associated with “tin”). Tinface accepts bribes from local merchants and residents. In this case, presumably so as to win over the police’s sympathy, Halfpint has just invited Tinface to have a drink with him.
