Salt of the Earth (1954 film poster)
Poster promoting the theatrical premiere of the 1954 American film Salt of the Earth at a (now demolished) theater on 86th Street in Manhattan. Mexican actress Rosaura Revueltas, who played the leading role, is shown. The poster had four "pages", as it was folded and two-sided, this is the "front" side. -
Salima Rivera
This screenprint by Nicole Marroquín pays homage to Chicago-based, Puerto Rican poet Salima Rivera (1946-2004). It features text from Rivera’s poem, “Pilsen,” written in 1978. This was produced for the print festival Grabadolandia for a portfolio organized by Instituto Grafico de Chicago with Marimacha Monarca Press in 2019. The theme of the portfolio exchange was This Bridge Called My Back. This drawing of Rivera is based on one of Diana Solís' photographs. Two color screenprint, 11x15. -

Rumbo a las playas/Going to the beach
La estampa representa a una joven que recibe una invitación para ir a la playa. El texto que acompaña aclara que la chica rechaza la invitación del amigo porque su marido la va a llevar a la costa en coche. En el trasfondo hay un camión de mudanzas y se explica que varias familias los alquilan los fines de semana para ir a las playas, trasportando todos los utensilios, la comida e incluso a músicos que amenizan el viaje.
